Indigenous Gathering Place Society of Calgary (IGPSC)
We are a registered society formed in direct response to the call for a reconciled Canada. We respect both Western written protocols and traditional Indigenous ways of knowing and being in all our relations. Every individual member supports the pursuit for a physical Indigenous gathering space within the City of Calgary.
Interested in becoming a member? Check out our dedicated Members page HERE.
We are excited to continue the conversation about a Gathering Place for all Nations with transfer of language, knowledge and practices to Indigenous youth at the forefront.
The following images were created as an ideal state of engagement in 2019 with our original business plan and represent all who were originally invited to the conversation.
We will be updating the business plan in late 2023 to reflect the current development context and to reflect community members and partners' interests, hopes and needs for an IGP.
Is there an event happening where we can share about the IGP and listen to the needs of your community? Please let us know!
